LED - Light Therapy
THE LIGHT THAT HEALS
 |
1 / Discovery of NASA : LED technology accelerates the rate of wound healing in unusual weather conditions such as the wound care of astronauts in orbit or treating the injuries of submarine crew members. The skin is able to use light for its well-being.
|
 |
2 / Medical uses : PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) - Treats actinic keratosis lesions Photomodulation - Improves the skin condition
|
THE ACTION OF LIGHT
 |
1 / Stimulation of mitochondrial activity in the fibroblasts : The mitochondria are the "powerhouses" of the cell. They convert energy from the organic molecules produced by digestion (glucose) into energy usable by the cell (ATP).
The mitochondria of fibroblasts especially react to light. 2/ Inhibition de la collagénase : 2 / Inhibition of collagenase : Enzyme responsible for collagen degradation
|
|
Result : - Increase in the number of fibroblasts, thickening and rearrangement of collagen fibres. - Increased production of collagen and elastin.

SYNERGY OF ACTION
4 colours that can be combined for a synergistic action on the skin - The colours penetrate to different depths in the skin and can treat all sub-cutaneous levels - Clinical studies show superior results when different colours are combined - Acne: blue + red - Spots: green + red - Redensification: red + yellow - The Cryolift 3 also makes it possible to use continuous and pulsed mode to stimulate the cells in a different way - The result is 10 ultra-targeted LED programmes for treating various indications
RED light and collagen
REGENERATIVE PROPERTIES Red light increases the ability of mature and photo aged fibroblasts to produce more collagen by increasing their metabolic potential. Lam and his colleagues have shown that this wavelength multiplied the collagen synthesis of fibroblasts by four with no effect on the proteolytic enzymes present in the dermis. Red light irradiation also favours the synthesis of fibroblast growth factors by the light activated photo macrophages.
ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES Phototherapy with red LED has an effect on the skin's immune system by acting on lymphocytes. This activation can improve and control the inflammatory process and accelerate healing. Moreover, by reducing the activity of collagenase, the skin's ability to regenerate is optimised. It also improves the appearance of both fine and deeper lines.
YELLOW light and healing
WOUND HEALING PROPERTIES An improved wound healing process, especially with yellow LED. Reduction in post-operative effects after the treatments with lasers. Alster T. and his team carried out a study on the effects of reducing the post-operative effects of laser fractionated modes with 20 patients. There was significant reduction in post-laser erythema 24 hours after 35s of exposure to a 590nm yellow LED
Lumière VERTE et taches
ANTI-DISCOLOURATION ACTION Action sur le pigment superficiel Amélioration de la répartition du pigment et homogénéisation des taches
ACTION STIMULANTE Acts on surface pigments. Improves the distribution of pigment and homogenisation of discolouration
BLUE light and acne
ANTI-BACTERIAL Blue LEDs have a direct effect on Proprionibacterium acne, agent responsible for acneiform lesions. In fact, this bacterium produces a porphyrin that is activated by blue LEDs. This photoactivation causes the destruction of the bacteria through the production of free radicals and singlet oxygen.
Numerous clinical studies have reported an improvement in inflammatory acne by over 50% after 2 sessions for 6 weeks with blue LEDs alone. In 2000, Papageorgiou and his colleagues were able to demonstrate that the combination of alternating red and blue LED exposure can improve retentional acne by 48% and inflammatory acne by 76%
